The mobility turnaround in Essen is no longer in the distant future: Together with the Freiburg-based software company highQ Computerlösungen, Ruhrbahn AG has launched the “bonus mobil” app, which is intended to motivate people who use public transport to use alternative mobility services.

The app is currently in a friendly user test phase, and in October 2022 the offer will go live in the catchment area of the city of Essen. This is a good step forward towards the mobility turnaround.

With the new bonus program “bonus mobil”, all participants are rewarded with attractive discounts for climate-friendly mobility behaviour. Citizens of the cities of Essen and Mülheim are thus motivated to switch to environmentally friendly mobility, to reduce CO2 and NOx emissions and to make the cities of Essen and Mülheim even more livable.
