Let's drive forward the transport transition and create sustainable mobility for the benefit of society
With the innovative digital solutions of the highQ MobilitySuite, we are advancing the transport revolution and creating sustainable mobility for the benefit of society - we call this social mobility. A mobility platform based on the highQ MobilitySuite guides people to their destination in a resource-saving way.
With its open, standardized interfaces, the mobility platform can be flexibly adapted to any mobility context and enables partners to easily connect their services, such as public transport routing and ticketing, the integration of car and bike sharing, e-scooters or cargo bikes. With the suite's mobility guide, the mytraQ-App, the various mobility services can be used with any standard smartphone.
By exchanging data and connecting road users, their vehicles and the surrounding area, mobility is raised to a new level. The seamless connection of route finding, reservation, booking and cashless payment of different transport services as well as an AI-supported real-time system for transport planning, which can be flexibly adapted to any mobility context, are essential for this.
Via the mytraQ-App, all participants receive individual route suggestions geared towards sustainable mobility based on the current or expected traffic situation. For example, if rain is forecast, it is to be expected that fewer road users will cycle to work, preferring instead to use their own car. To avoid traffic jams, the app therefore suggests time slots outside peak times or alternative routes by public transport. In the interests of social mobility, the app does not simply optimize individual routes, but the routes of an entire group (e.g. the employees of a company).
As a self-learning system, the highQ MobilitySuite can revolutionize traffic by learning from past swarm behavior and translating the strategies learned into future, sensible route suggestions with the help of AI. The solution is scalable and its impact increases with large-scale use - the larger the user base, the more sustainable the positive impact on the climate and the environment.
User acceptance is important for the long-term success of the highQ MobilitySuite - in particular, users want to know that their data is in safe hands. After all, it is only by pooling different traffic data that the benefits of AI can be fully exploited. This is why mobility patterns are collected anonymously using a patented process and without reference to individual road users. The application is based on the basic principles of GAIA-X, the networked data structure for a European digital ecosystem for the protection of sensitive data, and is compliant with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Only with a high level of acceptance will it be possible to achieve sustainable everyday mobility that benefits the common good by changing behaviour and avoiding and optimizing traffic. The integrated incentive system of the highQ partner Zeitmeilen provides a further incentive for this: To motivate road users to adhere to mytraQ's route suggestions and change their traffic behavior in a sustainable sense, they can collect bonus points ("Zeitmeilen") and later exchange them for rewards. The rewards are provided by the operator of the highQ MobilitySuite - e.g. by an employer for its employees, by a municipality for its citizens or by the federal government for the whole of Germany. The operator of the mobility platform can enter its regional transport strategies into the highQ MobilitySuite, which are then taken into account for sustainable transport routing. In this way, traffic peaks in conurbations can be equalized through distribution in time, space and mobility mode and an attractive mobility offer can be created in rural areas through linking, optimization and demand orientation.
More about Incentivization
Transparency towards road users is crucial for this: integrated information boards in the mytraQ-App and push messages notify them of environmental and traffic events that affect routing, such as particulate matter alerts, roadworks or overcrowded public transport (e.g. to ensure "infection-proof" operation). In this way, acceptance is created for proposed changes in traffic behavior. Conversely, road users can feed their own information into the system via the reporting component integrated into mytraQ (e.g. "broken glass on the cycle path" or "accident at the junction"). A chat function enables a protected exchange within the group and strengthens the sense of identification in terms of social mobility: by ensuring that everyone reaches their destination in a socially responsible manner, the highQ MobilitySuite strengthens social cohesion.
To create transparency, the highQ MobilitySuite visualizes the effects of mobility behaviour not only for individual road users, but also across groups, companies and cities. In the mytraQ-App and via a management cockpit (dashboard), it provides figures on traffic density, use and frequency of means of transport as well as ecological evaluations. The highQ dashboard, placed in a central, public location, visualizes various reports such as increased use of public transport, formation of car pools, change of means of transport, CO2 savings, Zeitmeilen collected. In this way, transport participants receive motivating feedback on the progress they have made together and the operators of the mobility platform receive important information for further optimization steps.
This holistic concept was applied for the first time in the SCHOOL research project (strategy change through open data-oriented solutions, running from 2017 to 2020); not only was compliance with traffic information and incentivized recommendations by road users made measurable, but also the impact on traffic, including emissions and immissions.
In order to measure the effect, a before-and-after comparison of individual traffic behavior was carried out: What impact did the use of the highQ MobilitySuite have on a given infrastructure (smoother traffic, less CO2, NOx, particulate matter, etc). In order to determine the effects of different strategies, highQ is setting up a test environment in the Bauhaus.Mobility.Lab research project: "Innovation by experiment" - a real-world laboratory for social mobility is being created in Erfurt.
The smartphone-based mobility assistants from highQ enable both road users and transport companies to
easy and convenient access to the data relevant to the respective user in the background system.
The versatile and user-friendly smartphone app mytraQ can be used by both passengers and transport inspectors and offers specific functions for each.
We also have a suitable mobility assistant for bus drivers: The highQ TicketApp is installed on standard Android tablets, making costly, proprietary hardware solutions superfluous. In combination with an industrial printer unit, for example, this creates a complete, user-friendly sales system.
Another advantage of the Android platform is the ability to install additional apps. With the help of the PlanB app, bus drivers can access the transport company's timetable and real-time data directly on their sales tablet or inspectors on their smartphone and call up up-to-date timetable information.
With our planning and disposition tools, we offer transport companies of all sizes comprehensive support for their operational planning tasks - from network and timetable planning
from network and timetable planning to vehicle rotation and duty scheduling to personnel planning. This means that you not only have your daily processes under control,
but also receive precise solution proposals and reliable data for your tender calculations in a short time and with minimal effort.
Our tried-and-tested planning system PlanB ensures efficient, cost-saving processes in every transport company: Timetables become more attractive, vehicles are better utilized and duty rosters are flexibly adapted to the needs of your staff. The legally compliant consideration of working and driving time regulations as well as your own collective agreements is a matter of course. If necessary, you can use mathematical optimization tools to uncover additional efficiency reserves in your schedules.
The moveo Profahr scheduling solution developed by Moveo Software GmbH can be seamlessly integrated into our PlanB planning system. It supplements journey, rotation and duty planning with the functions of duty sequence planning and personnel scheduling. In combination, both tools offer you a scope of services comparable to that of "large" planning systems - and with significantly lower demands on your own IT infrastructure. In addition, moveo Profahr is also available as a SaaS-Solution.
Digital mobility requires flexible data exchange between all systems involved in fare management and - in interoperable operation
in interoperable operation - also between different mobility service providers. Our solutions are all eTicket Germany-compliant
and thus enable a continuous and interoperable data flow from ticket purchase to billing in the background system.
The highQ TicketApp can be installed on standard Android tablets, making costly, proprietary hardware solutions superfluous. In combination with an industrial printer unit, this creates a complete, user-friendly sales system for bus drivers. Thanks to central tariff and master data management and the manufacturer-independent interface (HUSST) to the background system, data supply and disposal is simple and uncomplicated. The highQ TicketApp can be expanded to include the eTicket Germany standard (VDV-KA) at any time if required.
Similar to the highQ TicketApp, there is also a mobility assistant for efficient ticket control: with the highQ ControlApp, ticket inspectors can easily and efficiently record increased transport charges and issue receipts. They no longer need to carry a proprietary - and usually heavy - control device with them, as the app can simply be installed on a standard smartphone. This saves both weight and costs.
Our fare.logiQ revenue management system makes booking and billing transportation services simple and clear. All sales channels can be easily connected via a manufacturer-independent data interface (HUSST); the sales and booking data from the various billing offices or affiliated companies are merged in a central, multi-client-capable revenue database. You can easily transfer the data to your general ledger via suitable interfaces (e.g. SAP).
In times of the nationwide eTicket Deutschland standard, all systems must be designed for interoperable operation or be adaptable. We have developed the IONgate appliance to provide smaller transport companies without an extensive IT infrastructure with a secure and uncomplicated connection to interoperable background systems (ION). The pre-installed, pre-configured end device significantly simplifies the handling of cross-company processes when using e-tickets - up to several thousand companies can be networked with each other in so-called coopetition networks. In 2018, IONgate received an innovation award for "particularly innovative solutions that make medium-sized companies fit for a successful digital future".
Managing customer and payment data is one of the fundamental tasks in a transport company.
In particular, dealing with subscriptions, school and job tickets usually involves a great deal of effort,
which can be made much more efficient with digital solutions from highQ.
With its digital "ticket counter" TicketOffice, highQ offers a genuine all-in-one solution for the efficient and transparent management of season ticket holders, occasional travelers and school transport. The versatile fare management system supports all types of travel entitlements, whether paper tickets, chip cards or cell phone tickets, as well as all standard sales channels, from the customer center back office, service points and web portals to the connection of major customer subscriptions, job, student and school tickets.
