Osnabrück, 21. 07. 2021. In 2016, the cooperation between Stadtwerke Osnabrück (SWO) and highQ Computerlösungen began. As general contractor, highQ and SWO developed an integrated sales system in close cooperation. The idea was to bring together all the city's transport services on a digital platform.

Cooperation

Founded in 1996 in Freiburg, the software company supports municipalities, transport companies and financial institutions with innovative IT solutions in the effective planning, implementation, optimization and monitoring of their tasks. Urban streets and squares are no longer dominated by traffic, but belong to the people again. The countryside remains attractive for young and old. Thanks to intelligent, multimodal mobility, everyone reaches their destination in a socially responsible and environmentally friendly way.

With the MobilitySuite from highQ, Stadtwerke Osnabrück wants to make holistic mobility as simple as possible for the customer and to position itself forward-looking. “With the introduction of this system, we are providing customers with a digital, convenient and, above all, simplified solution for holistic mobility,” says Werner Linnenbrink, Head of Mobility Services at Stadtwerke Osnabrück AG. “We have a lot to do in this and the coming years and are already in the middle of preparing for further innovative mobility offers, which we want to integrate into the system in order to impress our customers with new features,” Linnenbrink continues. In order to gain access to the mobility portal, passengers only need to register once and then have access to all services.

“In recent years, we have come to know Stadtwerke Osnabrück as an innovative and reliable company that focuses on customer satisfaction and quality. The mobility portal underlines the future-oriented thinking and shows what is important in the coming years: to make public transport as simple and centralised as possible,” says Christian Disch, Managing Director of highQ Computerlösungen. In doing so, highQ contributes its core competencies in the field of mobility platforms and digitalization to test and optimize safe, individual and flexible mobility solutions that adapt to the needs of passengers and can be networked with other transport services by means of innovative interfaces. SWO offers reliable mobility that is always up to date.

“Digitalization allows us to deal with the existing urban infrastructure such as car parks, public transport or the road network in the best possible way. Overloads and utilization can be avoided by shifting space (use of other routes), time (different travel times) and means of transport (bus, bike, car, ride-sharing),” says Werner Linnenbrink, who goes on to say: “At the end of the month, customers receive a bill with an overview of the services used. – simple and usable from anywhere. ”

The collaboration between highQ and SWO resulted in an integrated sales system, which can also be expanded in the future with an integrated time mileage incentive module. The combination of urban mobility offers and services such as CRM, subscription management or complaint management serves to bring together a wide range of information sources. “This allows us to get to know our customers better and to tailor our offerings to them,” says Maik Blome, Head of Product Management and Digitization Mobility at SWO. The collected mobility data makes it possible to identify needs at an early stage and, for example, to set up mobility hubs if it turns out that a bus stop is changing to another mode of transport particularly often. Connecting the region is also an important goal. “It’s not just people’s mobility needs that will increase – and there is also the requirement to be environmentally friendly on the road. Demand-oriented offers can more easily fulfil this as a contribution to environmental protection than private cars, which would be optimal if e-vehicles were used and journeys were bundled,” says Maik Blome.

As Stadtwerke Osnabrück is one of the most innovative companies in the industry, the high requirements should always offer the best solution components for the customers and should always be guaranteed further. This is why Stadtwerke Osnabrück and highQ are embarking on the next stage of expansion of the mobility platform with their development partnership.
